I live in a semi dry county in MS.alcohol sales are ok in city limits but rest of county is dry. Also no hard liquor sales outside of a few restaurants. I have to cross the county line to buy fire water

County I grew up in was opposite. City limits were dry. Rest of county was wet, except for Sunday.

Arkansas and Kentucky go hard in the paint

I can definitely vouch for Arkansas. I used to go to Russellville for work and we would have to drive 18 miles to get alcohol. The alcohol store was right off the exit like a gas station normally are.

Similar in my hometown.

Bars were all just outside the city limits as was the liquor store.

I'm pretty sure (pre-casinos) they used to have the northern-most 24/7 drinking establishment in the state.

I guess the Baptists run the cities. They keep everything clean cut.

If you’re a “attend church only on major holidays” backsliding Christian, you live out in the county and buy a case of beer at the gas station every Friday.

Idk perhaps. There are definitely no limits elsewhere.

I know rapides up until recently had some dry communities.

They sure serve the shite out of alcohol at paragon and im pretty sure there’s a liquor store on reservation property.

Is that what's going on in the North Pole area of Alaska? Who knew they were regulating anything up there?

I think they’re very serious about it too. It’s a big deal if you sneak booze in.

Are the only businesses with liquor licenses in Chicago those with connections to the Mafia?

Right....damp places are just wanting to inconvenience people. frick living in Monroe during football season. Noon kick off, better have your beer night before, or you have to wait till the clock strikes noon to buy that beer and miss kick off. Want a cocktail while watching NFL....not in West Monroe...beer only...frick it was annoying and pointless

It has my county as blue but there are Sunday restrictions.

It used to be no alcohol at all in Sunday. Now sales of beer and wine are allowed after 12pm. No liquor on Sunday.

I lived in a semi dry county in Texas for 3-4 years from 2010-2014. Wasn’t bad at all. Would load up on a Friday and drive 30 min to the county line to hit up a liquor store.

Bars also closes at midnight every night and 1 am on Saturday. I actually liked that because there was a house party every night.

Obviously an old school town. Restaurants were still letting people rip cigs in them last time I was there.
