Just wish people would support their local breweries more now instead of just jumping to another cheap corporate "domestic"

would be nice if OP provided a link so we could see what happened to Anheuser Busch's 47 million other brands.

This was the headline of a CNN article recently
"Experts say that inclusive campaigns are, in fact, often lucrative for businesses, serving as an important tool to reach key demographics."
Experts say!!

Don't worry. Its only bud lite. Your other queer beers are safe.

3-6% moves the needle with their volume.
The bigger issue will be how sticky these lack of sales are. They are very much aware of how brand loyal beer drinkers are.

Uhh, are you not paying attention? They can’t wake up in the morning without being oppressed by Donald Trump, for starters.

How about ad campaigns that alienate your entire customer base?

To some people beer is nothing but a branded commodity. That's what made this marketing choice so perplexingly absurd.
While the segment of the beer consuming public that thinks like that is certainly shrinking due to the increased proliferation of local breweries, it still exists, and likely always will to some extent. It would seem a company that held a sizable share of that still existing market would have an interest in holding onto it.
I also understand that AB's strategy of acquiring/affiliating with "local breweries" has been met with mixed success.
It's an interesting situation all around, but certainly doesn't seem too analogous to the NFL deal.

Having a 28 year old man who larps as a 12 year old girl?

"I'm a businesswoman, I had a really clear job to do when I took over Bud Light, and it was ‘This brand is in decline, it's been in a decline for a really long time, and if we do not attract young drinkers to come and drink this brand there will be no future for Bud Light,'" Heinerscheid said during a recent episode of the "Make Yourself at Home" podcast.
