Out in Lake Ramsey. Just woke up. It's like a hurricane outside

A buddy is supposed to be hosting a watch party for the game today, and he is on one of 3 streets in his entire area to lose power. I get the feeling he won't be getting it turned back on too quickly since there will be more pressing areas to get to.
He was also supposed to be smoking a brisket over night. Wonder how that's working out

Power just came back on about ten minutes ago then went back out. First world problem of the day: I can’t grind my beans to make coffee.

Just woke up and some decent gusts right now by I-12 at Abita/Mandeville exit and no power
A couple businesses in old Mandeville near lakefront reporting they’re without power too
ETA frick just walked the power line that runs only to our house... multiple trees fell that knocked the power line down. Going to be out of power for a lonnnng time

Been up since about the same time, in Fountainbleu, no power

Cops out blocking off roads in old mandeville due to trees and limbs being down.

Old Mandeville checking in. Still no power. About to go old school and make drip style coffee.

Covington doesn't have power anywhere downtown. Quite a few trees and limbs are down everywhere. As for coffee, Buttercrisp has power. Doughnuts, coffee, and coolish weather are making this more than bearable. As for the storm, it woke me up and I am a deep sleeper. This was pretty impressive for a spin up tropical storm.

At least you'll be safe from wildfires. Maybe take a celebratory dump on Girod St... or is it Gerard... Girard?

Yes I meant to quote myself because it just came on again for 15 seconds.

Lost power about an hour ago which doesn’t make much sense unless they cut ours off to repair some other folks.

Noted all these subtle “My house is wired for electricity” brags here.
Having a Whole house generator is how one guarantees to never lose utility electricity service to the house.

Camping percolator FTW.
Gonna fire up the generator and hope Charter still rolling.

Anyone know how Christwood did? Do they have generators? I have relatives there but I don't want to call early and wake them up.

If they live in Christwood they've been up for hours
