I never lost power in the Madisonville/mandeville area, so I'm lucky. But, why are the outages so widespread? I heard the wind last night, but what were the windspeeds? We're screwed if a cat 1 or more passes over. Damn.

I never heard, but I saw a large green garbage can scottin down the road this morning. Trees snapped all over the place.

4pm Sunday projection for Cleco to return power to Highway 21 in Madisonville

Our bitch as politicians need to put pressure on Cleco. They weren’t prepared for this. The delays are from them being understaffed and not being proactive.

Anyone have any updates from Wash-St. Tam Co-OP? Still out in Lake Ramsey
Posted on 10/26/19 at 7:34 pm to Tigerholic
How were they supposed to be prepared for something that wasn't forecasted?
My power came back on about 20 minutes ago. Freezer was only up to 29°, so I'm happy that I didn't have to deal with a bunch of thawed food.

Don't have a dog in this hunt for once, but it seems I'm still active. If power isn't restored in the I12/190 is it, by 9AM I'll be heading over in the event anyone needs help.

Dude, I was out for 12 hours today. Why blame politicians for a storm that was out of their control?! Go spend a whopping 600$ on a generator and your poor little world wont stop revolving! Only for about 20 mins of my life were different today than a normal Saturday watching football.

Still no power on my block. The rest of the street and across the street has it! ??

What was damaged that the outages are this widespread and lengthy?
Posted on 10/26/19 at 9:47 pm to lsufan9193969700
Entergy forecasted we would have power back by 4, but they had it restored at 11:15. Charter is still out.

I saw a bunch of downed trees and large limbs today driving along 22 and 1085. If I had to guess, I’d say a lot of outages were caused by trees falling on power lines

Power still out at my house off west approach... bummer with a 2 and 4 yrs old... staying at my parents this evening
