Question for the older baws but does it better after menopause??
Marriage and sex got way better when the wife got off the pill.
Sex got even better after menopause. I could barely keep up when she was first going through it. I almost said I can't a few times but felt it was my husbandly duty to perform as requested.

Yeah this site has made me really appreciate my marriage over the years.
Agreed.
Not to say it's always perfect, it isn't.
But between this site, the occasional glance at Social Media and hearing second-hand about my wife's friends, well, let's just say her occasional snoring doesn't bother me as much....

Well, she was awesome. Then it came out she wasn't quite. Divorced for 8 years now and much, much happier.

Checking in. Finally found a woman 15 years ago that has no drama or insecurities, works and has fun as hard as I do and lets me run the show.
I'm fully convinced that my stature with the almighty / karma will always be on the upswing simply by my association with with her as she's a real-life angel. Because I am not one.

I love being married. If I wasn't I would be an antisocial recluse, but she gets me roped into things a lot that, at the time is frustrating. But afterwards I'm glad I went through with it.
On the flipside, she overextends herself with work/social obligations and I can reel her back in sometimes.
It's a perfect match.

I read posts where men make derogatory comments about their wives on here and it makes me sad.
Some of the best advice I’ve ever gotten was to never make derogatory comments about your wife to other people. Do it enough and you’ll develop contempt and that’s pretty much the end.
If she is doing something that needs critique, tell her, or a counselor, or maybe a friend who has permission to speak into your life and check you if necessary. No one else.

In July, my wife and I will be married 52 years. Are we perfect? No. Were there rough spots? Yep. Are there still, sometimes? For sure. But I cherish my wife and our years together, and wouldn’t change us for the world.

For me, I'd even think about bumping it up closer to 95%. I'm certainly not miserable like most of the married OT'ers seem to be.
I do wish she'd be a little more frugal with money on occasion though.

Been married 31 years. My wife is way better looking than I am to the extent the folks I work with said "THIS is your wife", cooks like a chef, is going this morning to help me work on a house and is absolutely hilarious and makes me laugh.
I married a truly rare woman.

My first marriage and wife were a death trap. She became a disaster. She was a real, adulterous whore. Divorce can be a positive in life if you are forward thinking and optimistic.
I subsequently remarried and have been married for over 25 years. I got it right the second time. There are good women out there for sure.

31 years. She is my best friend and responsible for just about everything awesome in my life. Another benefit: my 3 kids have grown up seeing what a happy marriage and family is like, and want that for themselves.

Excellent advice. No public arguments, no roping friends and family into taking sides.
