Say what? Trump signs were flying in the back of pick up trucks all over town for months here, prior to the election.
This is a Conservative town. To claim that it is further to the Left than Portland, Eugene, or Salem is insane. It's not even a contest.
Am I to assume you live there? Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression they just elected a full slate of school board members who ran on an explicitly woke platform.

Ditto. Also, agree about Taos. Breckinridge was the best…30 years ago.

Ski in Ski out from The Lodge at Copper. Cozy feel with town center, all lifts walking distance. Its not crazy expensive but an easy drive to Vail if you want crazy expensive things.

Zermatt Switzerland. Epic views of the Matterhorn and no internal combustion cars in the town just battery-powered shuttles save for a couple of emergency vehicles and has been this way since the 60s. It is a cool relaxed town and if you are a mogul madman you will be happy here. It usually has good skiing all summer and the summer weather is gorgeous.

Yeah, I live here. I'm not familiar with the school board elections but I've met a lot of locals over the years and probably 3/4 of them lean pretty hard to the Right.
Like a lot of places, there are a lot of people moving here from California(and Portland), so the demographics are always changing.
But the vast majority of people that I've met that actually grew up leave me feeling like this town is more Conservative than Chattanooga was when I left.

I loved Breckinridge in summer and winter. It’s a bit snooty but it’s gorgeous.

Interesting. I wrote off Bend as uber liberal too. I thought I read that the riots there last summer were pretty heavy, but maybe I read wrong. But now that I think about it it didn’t seem too bad when I visited. Maybe I was just assuming it was like Eugene and Portland.
Bend and Chattanooga are the two towns I’m deciding between. How do these two towns compare?

Lago Como. I honestly don't even remember which specific village it was, but it was brilliant.

I'm enjoying the shite out of Big Sky, though. Just feels a little too new and corporate.
Here now, love it - agree, was surprised by how new everything is
