Sad thing is THE ONLY REASON anyone knows either of these guys names is because a WHITE COP shot him! I wish someone in the news would ask the people at the rally to name any white person killed by a cop, name any black person killed by a black cop, or to even name 1 cop that was shot in Dallas!

This is 1000% being driven by an outside group that is using blacks in the way they need to drive their narrative! They have been preying on minorities like this for years!

Ridiculous!!!!!

They are certainly not unbiased links, but it does deserve some vetting.

I just want the truth. If that guy did as his girlfriend suggested, that cop needs to be convicted. If things were not as originally reported, that needs to come to the surface.

Truth has no color.

Completely agree and well said. But you said it, if other details exist they need to come to the surface. Sadly tho, there could be true details justifying the cop's actions and many would assume it's false info to cover up.

If the cop wasn't justified, he needs to suffer the consequences. If he was, it needs to come out.

I believe it's pure incompetence and there's no room for it.

They hire some really stupid cops. This guy seemed to immediately regret his actions and he didn't even take full control of the situation..

Unreal.. They have an absolute legit gripe. That's horrific what happened.

Is there new video out now that shows the whole thing go down or has someone made an official ruling? Can you post some links?

I have no idea about that photo, however it was him.. why was he not arrested?

He doesn't have a record other than one minor traffic violation.

He went to a private school where he was a straight A honor student. He had a job working in elementary school supervising the cafeteria.

He got licensed to carry his gun and was following the law. He was very upfront with the officer, which is usually something they tend to appreciate very much and will work with you on... He made it known he had a weapon. So there would be no freak out.. And he was just getting his ID.. and this incompetent cop overreacted.. Again, I don't even know that it's racism.. just an idiot.

I have heard police departments don't typically hire people with high IQs.. which is a shame.. these people need to use better judgement of possible life threatening decisions..

This Minnesota one looks absolutely heartbreaking.. and for it to unfold right in front of his girlfriend. How can people even deal with these kind of circumstances.. and she remained very calm given what went. She actually took more control of the situation than the cop who looked completely baffled.

The cops reaction is pretty telling my man.

Go rewatch the video.

Believe it or not these are humans, and they do make mistakes.

But sure, let's wait for the full investigation and ruling. I have stated it looks bad.

People should not be getting murdered inside a vehicle for getting id. He obviously did not have a weapon in his hands.. You can tell that much.

My gosh the man is even wearing his frickING SEATBELT. And his 4 year old child was in the backseat.

Come on. This was so fricking ridiculous. Ask the man to step out of the vehicle if you are so worried.. but who knows.. he'd probably shoot him for reaching to undo his seatbelt.

And he shot him four times too.

Can't even begin to imagine the devastation. And that four year old appears to be raised right. "It's okay I'm here for you" Very sweet.

This is horrible handling of the situation regardless.

But while this audio may document that a police officer thought Castile might have resembled a person wanted for armed robbery, that didn't mean he was a "suspect" in an armed robbery case or that he was "wanted" for armed robbery — at the time he was killed, nothing linked him to such a crime other than that an officer momentarily thought Castile might have looked a little like someone who had committed a robbery.

quote:

The Conservative Treehouse took their shaky narrative a step further, however, and attempted to show that not only was Castile a suspect in an armed robbery case, but he was likely the man who committed the crime. The evidence provided, however, was flimsy at best:

By one you mean 55 (not that it matters but if you are going to state a fact, make it right).

That is surveillance footage and why the cop pulled them over. Oh wait, are you still believing it was a broken tail light?

Perhaps, just maybe, you should wait for some facts to be proven. Diamond's discussion of a broken taillight triggering a Chinese cop to kill hasn't been holding up quite as well under the limited facts we have. Time will tell.

Unless your the president - then just lay it out as an example of discrimination - I mean don't like the Brown incident in Ferguson persuade you to perhaps get the facts before embarrassing yourself. Hands up, don't shoot.

Minnesota cop probably doesn't have the aptitude to be a cop. Looks like a major overreaction.

The problem with this case is all the video we have is completely one sided by his girlfriend. It could be accurate but it could also be completely skewed to make the cop look bad. Without having the cops side of the story of what led up to it I have a hard time jumping to conclusions on what happened.

Is there video of the shooting now? Really not sure how you make that determination without seeing what happened before the original video started.

She broke down crying later in the back of the cop car. Likely it was she had so much adrenaline surging through her that she was able to remain calm in a horrific situation. People react differently in times of crisis. Big tough men can turn into crying babies and petite, soft spoken women can demonstrate nerves of steel.

Do we actually know what happened prior to him getting shot? Do we know for sure that they guy calmly said he had a gun and then the cop said go ahead and reach for your id? Why don't we hold judgement until all videos and evidence is available. All we know is guy was shot and what his gf was saying to the camera.

Philando Castile had been pulled over at least 52 times since 2002 by Minnesota police. He was given 86 citations.

is that everyone is clinging to now that the whole armed robbery suspect thing has dried up?
