I don’t give two shits if he’s gay. I do have an issue with the fact that he knew he was gay yet went on 3 bachelor shows lying to women and made a million dollars by pretending to be straight. Now he’s going to make another million on a coming out tour. He already signed a deal with Netflix.

well my biggest thing is the importance they place in mortal men like priests and the pope mainly. Catholics think you can go to your local priest, confess your sins, him give you some penance like saying some hail marys, then absolve you of your sins. That's complete and utter horseshite. The basic, #1, main tenet of Christianity is that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and the only way to heaven is through him. Only God can absolve you of your sins, not some mortal man that lives down the street from you.

The first has nothing to do with modern day priests. He was specifically talking to the disciples that he breathed on. Did Jesus breath on your priest billy that is forgiving your sins? No. And if this passage is the go-to for catholics, why can't I absolve you of your sins?
The second literally says the son of man has authority on earth, which is not anythign knew. He's Jesus! Is your local priest Jesus or the son of God? I highly doubt it.
