Probably around 960 million. It’s been 1.5 billion before so a ways to go.

Just jumped 20 million to 810 million. Curious to see if it jumps again.
My guess would be around 970.

Just jumped another 20 million to 830 million.
If nobody wins tonight, it wouldn't surprise me if friday night is around 1 billion dollars.
Lump sum at 487.9 million before taxes.

Got my tickets.. Spent more money tipping girls than the ticket cost.

you dont give yourself much better odds by buying that big stack of tickets
the best ROI play is to buy several versions of the same ticket that way if you do win you keep the bulk of the pool if it has to split with someone else

That’s a huge chunk left on the table if you take lump sum. Almost half. Taxes will take another 40%.
I think with this large a number I’d take the annuity. Almost 30 million a year but I’m 31 yrs old

I bought a few tickets. I plan on buying the biggest video scoreboard in college football history for Tiger Stadium’s north end zone, under explicit instructions that NO ADVERTISEMENTS shall be placed anywhere on the board…. except for a small “tigerdroppings.com” at the very top.

The Mega Millions annuity is a payment made up of one immediate payment and 29 annual payments thereafter. Each payment grows in size by 5% from the preceding year, which helps protect against inflation.

Lottery winners sometimes go broke. If you have had trouble with money before, then you should consider an annuity.
You could take the annuity to get a regular, guaranteed income for the next 29 years. This would help you budget your spending.
An annuity can help you avoid a lot of taxes. You will not have to pay a ton of money in one lump sum, and you will not have to pay more taxes over the years if you invested the winnings.
