There are multiple MAJOR refineries that deliver by the truck all within 2 hours of your employee. There may be isolated gas stations that have issues but nobody in Louisiana is going to be out until the Pipeline is back up.

Pensacola is bone dry.

I waited for almost two hours this morning at a gas station on Davis highway. Had hurricane flashbacks.

Something I never understood is why is gas in the Memphis area, particularly north Mississippi, so much cheaper than Louisiana? I mean we have the Valero Memphis refinery that is a little north of 200,000 barrels a day but it just doesn’t make sense to me that Louisiana and MS coast isn’t the cheapest shite in the land.

Local article #1 "Experts say don't panic buy"

Local article #2 "Gas shortages could ruin your summer vacation"

I mean, seriously?

Word. My son just got home and asked if he could use some of my non-eth gas in have in cans here at the house. I use this for my antique vehicle. I told him he better take his arse up to the corner store and wait in line like all the other knuckleheads.

Just had an employee of mine call and explain that he was having a real hard time finding fuel east of Alexandria. I havent been out of the office today, but is this something that is widespread or a localized issue with distribution. I have trucks on the road tomorrow and trying to get a feel for where I should route them.

One of the largest pipelines in the country was hacked and shut in. It’s supplied roughly 35% of the refined petroleum products to 17 states, including most of the eastern seaboard.

Is this going to be like the meat shortage that just happened to coincide with every Tom and hairy dick around buying deep freezers? I still occasionally weep for all the wasted pork chops.

Pro tip - use your boat like a giant portable gas tank in times of crisis. Have a siphon on hand and you have a low-key load of however much gas your boat tank holds.
