quote:Do millennials have to take it as the gospel? I had some liberal profs in some of my classes too. I didn't take it for anything other than "what do I have to know for the test to make an A"?
And again, Gen Xers in charge at universities are teaching Millennials nonsense.
You're talking about college students as though they're toddlers.

1980 is millennial not Gen X. You have more in common with someone born in 1984 than you do someone born in 1976.

In. Boomers and Millennials have fricked up this country so bad. Hopefully GenX and our kids can fix this shite show.
Most millennials are the children of X'ers, you helicoptering, participation trophy giving, overspending fricktards.

Well, they're buying houses and raising families and working their asses off. They need another 15 years before they can really frick this country up as well as the boomers and X'ers have.

Some of the most divisive people in politics are Gen X.
This is the dumbest argument ever.
You measure generations by macrotrends and statistics not by purposely selecting the worst of their numbers and assigning their traits to the entire generation.
And, statistically, the older millennials (1980-1988) are just as economically successful and conservative as Generation X.
There is some name assigned to them but I forget what it is.

you're a child and Ronaldus Magnus is the leader of the free world...
90s grunge makes you dark and cynical...
some of the best cast of SNL is your sense of humor...
Mr Rogers and Bob Ross...
how could you not be the best?

GENERATION X is the best generation since the Greatest Generation
Except the "greatest generation" wasn't great and frick Tom Brokaw for convincing these frickers they were. They were the most selfish entitled and self serving generation.
Because of those shitheads, we weren't allowed to have meaningful medicare reform, nor were we allowed to at least explore privatizing social security. All those dusty old motherfrickers cared about was what they believed was theirs by rights. Social security, medicare and all that other shite. Tom Brokaw and others like him convinced these frickers they deserved it. People told them they were special and entitled and they lapped it up. To hell with their children and grandchildren.
Now this isn't about veterans, so save that shite. This is about the vast overwhelming majority of americans who sat their asses at home and "sacrificed" nothing more than sugar rationing and the occasional new set of tires. These are the frickfaces who really represent the so called "greatest generation", not veterans.
Also, those fricking people were terrible goddamn parents. They gave birth to and raised the generation only slightly worse than their own. The fricking hippie boomers.
The "greatest generation" has died off. The country's better for it.

They need another 15 years
Sounds to me like your beef is with the Baby Boomers if going off that logic.

80 is millennial too.
Why don’t they just cut it off at 1979?? Why 1981?

Millennials are defined as being born between 1980-2000
This means they are 39-19 years old. Prime earning age is 40-55. This means, economically speaking, they won’t reach maximum economic potential until around 2035.
