I don't have time but I could write a book on why you should visit Oregon.
Only a couple of other states have as many ecosystems as Oregon does.
For now though, I give you amazing beer and even better legal weed.

Guess y'all hate mountains.
An "adventurous" vacation to a large portion of this board is to go to Destin.

New Mexico
Visited there for the first time this summer. It is a well hidden gem. Amazingly beautiful state with a ton of stuff to do.
It may have the southern most ski resort in the US (not sure)
Carlsbad Caverns
White Sands
Route 66
Santa Fe ( most beautiful city I've ever seen in the US), a lot like New Orleans without the crime or smell
High Desert is amazing
Tau
Old Alburqurque
Amazing food, up there with Louisiana food
Very inexpensive trip!!!

New Mexico, Oregon and Montana are beautiful states. The rest, you're on your own.

There are 10-15 great places in northern Michigan during the summer. Fall in Ann Arbor, East Lansing, and Kalamazoo is also incredible. Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo are big beer towns. I will concede that you should go elsewhere in the winter. Sleeping Bear Dunes are pretty awesome.

A few of these are along the route of Lewis and Clark, that would make one heck of a trip.

I mentioned it in my post above, but the food in NM is unbelievable. You know how most of us from Louisiana are disappointed in the foods of other states when we visit? Not in NM. Their true Southwest and Mexican food cannot be touched. I was dumbfounded how good it was. Even a breakfast burrito I got at a gas station was out of this world.

Lived in New Mexico before.
Good looking Mexican women if thats your thing.
Zip line in Ruidoso is amazing.
Outside of that, it sucks.

I'll give you Bozeman but I'm not a fan of Missoula. Whitefish is where it's at for winter.
