You can have a exciting life without riding s motorcycle. Skydiving, flying single engine planes, scuba diving, any kind of sanctioned auto racing, all are statistically safer than riding a motorcycle on the street.

Better put a little away for when you lay it down.

I have had a Harley Sportster for about 10 years. Was getting a little concerned about keeping it upright when stopped, so bought a Frankenstein kit that converted it to a 3 wheeler. Ride is different, requiring more steering.

Its the left turning m.f.'s that cause a majority of the wrecks

Republic of Texas motorcycle rally in a month. Great 5 days 4 nights of bikes, beer and boobs

I have owned a few Harleys over the years. You will love this bike, enjoy but be safe.

Nice-looking bike! I grew up with Harley's in my family and love them but not into the whole "dress up like a pirate" culture but to each their own. I own no H-D clothing, have no facial hair or tats (and don't care that others do, do your thing) and simply love to ride. White bike is a Fatboy I rode for years and now keep for visitors to ride. Bought the Road Glide (blue bike) a few years back as it is a much better ride all around than the Fatboy and then inherited the Street Glide (red bike) when my brother passed a couple of years ago. I have since customized it the way he would have before he got sick and I think he would have liked it. In Arizona we have some beautiful scenery to see from a bike, there really is nothing like it. Ride safe!

Nice bike baw, I'm jealous. I've only ever ridden rice burners also. How does the Harley compare?

There is some prestige and head turning factor going on. Ride wise, they both do the same thing. The Harley rides smoother than anything I've ever ridden at highway speeds though. It sounds a lot better too. The road king is over 800 lbs wet. It is heavier and bulkier than than anything else ive ever rode. There is a lot of low end grunt so you don't have to down shift as much if you get slowed down. The bike sounds best when you are actually lugging it in a higher gear with lower ram's. It will pick up speed and accelerate even if you are two gears higher than you should be.

A BMI of at least 35 is required for Harley ownership.

Love the RoadGlide in the pic. Great Blue. Looks like Paul Yaffe bars and grips. I went to his shop in Arizona a few years back.

Love the accents with the Performance Machine trans cover. I'm a "blue" guy myself but the red Street Glide looks awesome! Nice transformation.

I went on a motorcycle ride this past Saturday where a former AZ Cardinals first round draft pic went down on his bike in front of me in a sharp turn. He bounced right up and I was shocked he didn't get seriously hurt, it looked bad. He recently signed with another team and I asked if riding motorcycles was forbidden in his NFL contract and he just shook his head. He was riding too fast and got very lucky.

Of all the Harleys out there, the only one I really like is the 750. Love to have one of these for dirt roads.

Only owned metric bikes but seriously considering the Harley Pan America. Currently have several bikes, but main ride is a Honda Africa Twin.

Very nice bike you have.

For the risk adverse, I think I reduce my risk to tolerable levels by riding with full gear, never riding at night, never drinking and riding, giving up my right a way, avoiding excessive speed, and avoiding interstates.
