I saw the little people, leprechauns, when I was a kid. There were four of them in a circle dancing on my stomach. I'm Irish though, so that stuff's to be expected from the sons and daughters of Clooney.

About twenty years ago me and a buddy were driving around late at night at our hunting camp. Went down to a pretty cool spot called Haines Island Park. There's a huge elevation change and at the bottom is an old ferry that takes cars across the Alabama river. We were driving down the hill towards the river and I could have sworn I saw an old woman woman walking down the road. We both saw it and looked at each other like WTF was that. We drove by several times and didn't see anything.
Recently I was looking up info on Monroe County haunted places and came across this story which I had no clue existed before:

quote:
Nancy Mountain at Haine’s Island: Located off Monroe County Road 17 is the site of one of the county’s most enduring ghost stories, the story of “Crazy Nancy.”
Variations of this story exist, but the most common version says that the ghost of a woman, “Crazy Nancy” or “Aunt Nancy,” can be seen walking up and down the hill to Davis Ferry in hopes of meeting her son and husband who were claimed by the Civil War, never to return. Witnesses say that this female phantom is seen walking with a lantern (or long walking stick) in one hand and with a bucket of water in the other.
According to George B. Singleton’s book, “Of Foxfire and Phantom Soldiers,” you’ll know this spirit by her long, gingham dress, her old bonnet and the long, white hair that hangs out the back of her bonnet and all the way down to her waist.

True story. One time I used the restroom (#2). A real country turd. I went to begin the "paper work" portion of the adventure and boom...I got nothing. I tried again...Nothing! I paused, looked around (like some do when telling an offensive joke) and walked away. I have not told anyone this story until today. Be careful out there.

There was a house a couple of miles from me where weird things were happening. The TV would randomly turn on and off for no reason (it was a second home and the owners lived in Memphis).
I always assumed it was someone with a laser pointer or something like that. Then one day, someone came to pick me up in that neighborhood and waited in front of the wrong house by mistake. It happened to be the haunted house. What threw him off was someone opened the front door, looked out, and closed it again. Nobody was home and my ride had no idea about the other strange happenings there.
I'm not saying it was ghosts, but it was ghosts.

My cousin used to see them and hear them. They would give him some pretty good insight and say some pretty cool stuff. He killed himself and a bunch of other people, it was sad.
