I did once really late at night at a dead intersection. I think there was something wrong with the light because I was there for a few minutes, and I really had to pee.

A couple months ago, I was out with my friend and his gf and we had decided to just ride in one car to dinner. Anyway, we leave and begin heading back to my car when his gf starts freaking out that her stomach is killing her and she has to go to the bathroom bad. We got to the red light on Williams and Vintage by Laketown, her bf was driving and essentially made him run both red lights to hit Laketown. She just made it, she told us.

Did once, in high school. Was driving to breakfast with my grandpa and was paying attention to him and not the intersection. Nothing happened, but it was definitely unnerving.

When I went away to college, I came home one weekend and drove right thru a red light that had been put up while I was gone, just glad no one was coming thru the intersection.

yep...a while back, I was stopped in the turn lane at a redlight with a police officer sitting in the lane beside me. for some reason, I completely lost my mind and just made a left turn across traffic while the light was still red. of course, the police officer turns left behind me and pulled me over. I got lucky and he let me off with a warning, but I still have no idea why I would do such a thing...

I do it almost every day.
I'm not waiting for a green light if there is no traffic and it is safe to go through the intersection.
I work weird hours and am often alone on the road. When I was driving to work at 11pm I would pull up to lights that didn't seem to have a sensor and were on a long cycle. I just pull up, look both ways and go if it is clear.
Most mornings I'm driving to work around 4:45 or 5am and do the same. If I get to an intersection and have to make a left on an arrow I'm not going to wait on the entire cycle to get around to turning the arrow green for me. I pull up, make sure nothings coming and make my turn.
Traffic lights are good for controlling the flow of traffic through an intersection. They really don't have much purpose when there is no other traffic. I basically treat them like stop signs.

Honestly if I see someone at like 2 AM patiently waiting for 10 minutes for a light to turn, I automatically assume they are drunk off their arse

There's a red light in my neighborhood, I run it every time it turns red and I am driving by, never anyone there going the other way

Yeah. Accidentally on a road I knew very well ... too well I think. They put a traffic light at an intersection I was accustomed to just driving through. When I saw it was there AND red I hit the brakes hard .... to late. I probably went through it at about 40 mph ... in a fire truck. Thankfully no other cars were at the intersection.
I don't know if this counts. I went through a 4 way at a similar speed in another fire truck. The brakes failed. Emergency brakes failed almost immediately when I pulled the lever. I barely missed a truck.
I no longer drive fire trucks.

Yep. I've realized that no one else gives a shite about traffic laws or other motorists on the road, so why should I? I drive through 3-4 red lights a day--just slow down long enough to make sure I'm not going to T-bone anyone

Do you live in a small town?

Also, I probably should have excluded the "no one is around and its 2am"-red light runners.

I want the "holy f$%^ I could have died"-red light runners .

Yea, once in high school i was really sick and really zoned out. Not quite sure why i was driving as i really shouldn't have. Pulled up to a light that was red and thought "oh its red I can turn left". Luckily no one was around and I realize how stupid i was after doing it.
