2016 Health Care Changes

Pay MORE

Get LESS

Thanks Obama. But, hey, at least people that don't have jobs and weren't paying for insurance before are now totally eligible to get free healthcare courtesy of you. What's that you say? They aren't enrolling because they don't want the hassle and are still using emergency rooms like a walk-in clinic. Hmmmm... I guess you should have read that bill before you passed it.

That seems like a lot. Are you an obese smoker over the age of 50?

Not that much. Before the Unaffordable Care Act I had a catastrophic plan for $100/mo. That plan became illegal, and when I had to find a new plan there wasn't anything under $300.

How many of you guys live in 1961?

None of your wives work? I ask to mention what boils my arse. "Spousal surcharge"! Total horseshite!!!! Forcing family plans to be a thing of the past.

My company switched to one of if not the best plans a couple months ago and we don't pay a dime (out of the employees pay checks) for health and dental for individual and family coverage.

I pay 315 per month for family of 4 (PPO)

I'd hate to see how much my company is paying.

I think we may be self insured though

I got a packet today and have not looked at everything, but my current plan is a cool $200/month more. Well, that's a vacation gone. Thanks for that!

Our insurance is unchanged for the most part for 2016. The only difference is a $4 per period change. It is now $250 per check for me plus 3.

Full cost is over $19K a year total for my family coverage but thankfully my personal share is only 20% of that or about $3800.

Our open enrollment meeting is this Friday. As a single high paid employee, I am worried.
