When i go home to visit my mom i make excuses to go to Gucci-B. Probably gain 5 lbs from grabbing conchas, polvorones and long johns (sounds gay but its basically an eclair) from the bakery.

Daughter and son-in-law live in the Houston area. We went to one the first time we visited. They were giving samples all over the store - including wine. I stop by every time we go and visit.

I sure wish HEB were in more places. HyVee up here really sucks although they think they are great.

The Kroger near Greenway/West U is great for:

1- Flat Iron steaks; can’t get that at HEB
2- Sushi, as I like theirs better than HEB
3- Fried chicken

But other than that…I much prefer HEB.
