Bye-you
I hear some people say bye-ya.
Hank Williams said bye-yo.

Bi-you.
I got family in Plaquemine that pronounces it like “bah”. They would say “we’re going down the “bah” today”.
It trips me out everytime I hear them say it.

I say by-you
My grandpa said by-yah, but English was his second language. I've never heard bi-oh.

Bi - Oh.
Grew up with that pronunciation, which I took on. Family lived and grew up in East Texas mostly, although I was born and lived (my childhood) in north Louisiana.
Used the word almost every day, because we lived a half-block from a bayou, where I spent endless hours. Instead of telling my parents "I'm going out to play," I was always saying "I'm going to the bayou."

I’ve only ever heard that in songs
If someone said bye-oh in front of me I’d (have one of my bodyguards) punch them in the face

While it is an acceptable alternate pronunciation, I've only heard Hank, Sr. and "tryhard" (your word) sportscasters pronounce it that way. No native Louisiana folks say it that way, AFAIK.
And the Neville Brothers. "Fiyo on the Bye-oh"

By-you is the only acceptable pronunciation.
A few people in Cen-La butcher the word to just, "Bye."

If you don’t say BY-yoo, you probably can't PEE in a can.

it's just bi and also if using it with directions, etc., "down the bi", it can also be pronounced byah.
only fakes and wannabees call it byoh, bahyo or any form of "oh". "bi-you" is ok.
