Looks just like the interior of a 2022 Sienna I was looking at the other day. Meh... I do love Toyotas in general. This is nothing that amazing to me though.

Me too

Minor inconvenience considering the rest of the car is so hard to kill.

The station wagon is (was) one of the most useful vehicles ever designed but it was stigmatized right our of existence and replaced by an ever more useful vehicle that seems to be able to weather the stigma.

As for CUVs even is treacherous conditions most of the AWD CUVs will slay a 4WD vehicle even when the 4WD vehicle has far more aggressive tires. 4WDs have their happy place but it is a place 90% of people never tread. A low COG is better on road, simple as that.

My lexus has this issue for sure. Basically makes the feature useless and really a hazard rather irlts "working" or not bc you always second guess it.

Trump is gonna kill the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards and auto companies are gonna start putting V8’s back in their trucks.

I love cars, and I love driving.

I'll never own a Toyota, but I recommend them when the situation warrants.

Found my wife a 23 GX460 with the V8 and less than 9k miles.

It really is a GREAT vehicle and will outlast you if you take good care of it.

Which model GX did you get? How much out the door?

Let's start by getting rid of the automatic shutoff feature on cars. Fools us into thinking we're getting better gas mileage at the expense of 1000's of extra engine starts over the life of the vehicle.

Fair.

over priced

Compared to what?

The difference in price between a Toyota and a Hyundai is measured in usable lifespan and expected trips to the dealership.

Prior to the forced changes from the government related to fuel efficiency there was no better long term value than a 4Runner, Camry or Sienna. You could buy those for $25-35k and drive them for 200k without question.

Agreed, but get the 2023 GX with the naturally aspirated, tried and true V8.

I drive an '03 LX470. There is a new GX550 that parks near me, and I have to say that it's one of the few SUVs that I might consider after mine bites the dust. That should be sometime around 2043 or so.

They should have the drive train figured out by then, timing is perfect.

It does look nice, but I'm not interested in the twin turbo setup that is still brand new to the market at this point.

That V8 has been around for a decade and is a beast.

That's because they are station wagons.

From an aesthetic view, new GX and Landcruiser are the only two SUVs on the market I’d consider buying. The new engine on the GX gives me concerns and the lack of a third row option due to the hybrid on the Landcruiser takes it off of my list.
