The Strait of Hormuz is basically only used by the Iranians.

I would be deeply curious as to which fount of propaganda misinformation gave you this impression. Honestly and seriously.

20% of the daily consumption of crude passes through that strait.

Nothing going on to push it up dramatically. Now if Iran tries some shite in Strait of Hormuz that might do it. However, the entire area is covered with U.S. navy ships and subs. Unbelievable how many. Therefore, probably no issues for oil shipping.

If Iran can manage to close it somehow... oil will jump by $15 in a few days. Just don't see it with the Navy there. Navy men and women also know they won't be surrendering to any Iran navy vessel and kneeling on deck with hands behind their head.

“The US rig count, which indicates the number of active drilling rigs in the United States, currently stands at 555, as of June 13, 2025. This figure represents a decrease from the previous week's count of 559 and is also lower than the 594 rigs active a year ago. The US rig count is a key indicator of oil and gas production activity”

The Iranian navy isn’t what would close the strait, but surface to surface missiles. Short of assigning an escort to each merchant vessel the Navy can’t do much more than make Iran have to work for it.

US and Israel have gone out of the way to make sure they do not hit oil infrastructure.

Seems almost like they are targeting nuclear enrichment

Well, with the Independence Day holiday coming up I'm thinking maybe 10 cents a gallon due to demand?

Will go right back to current levels immediately after. Maybe even lower.
