I’ve got a ‘20 Silverado 160K miles. No issues at all. Just replaced tires and battery and full tune up (plugs annd fuel system). Original brakes. Hope to run it another 100K miles. That means a little over 2 more years.
Previous was a ‘12 F-250. Had 200K miles. Delete kit on def system at 160K miles. Started leaking a little oil at 190K miles, then transmission started slipping. Traded it in at 200K for the Chevy.

My last 2 cars were 14 years. One was close to 300k and the other close to 250k. Got rid of both when they started giving me problems that were not worth fixing.

You should wait until the wheels literally fall off

I keep my truck 10-15 years normally. Did trade in after 5 years for a covid trade in, but might not buy another.
My wife gets itchy after about 4 years.

2010 Tacoma. 119,000 miles. 16 years in April. It’s been a great truck but I’ve wanted a new one for about 5 years. But don’t want a truck note even more.

Get 200,000 then think about it. I had a 2009, when it got to 209,000 I got a new one in 2019.

I bought an 08 Acura TL Type S 6spd in December of 2015… kept it for nearly 10 years, and sold it this past July with 200K on the clock for only $2K less than what I bought it for. It was going to need new ball joints and bushings all around, so I didn’t feel bad after I unloaded it.

I had a 4Runner from high school until after I graduated grad school and was working so that skews the numbers but everything else has been about 3 years.
