No matter how long the concert is, it still takes less time than a college football game these days. Oof.

Her music is tailored for a female audience. Guys aren't expected to be fans. Your wives, daughters, girlfriends, if you indeed have any, enjoy it. Be happy for them and move on. There are worse role models out there. She's no vapid tik toc influencer.

To spend so much effort abhorring everything she represents says more about the critics than it does her. Some of y'all are just determined to be unhappy and try your best to make everybody unhappy around you.

And some of y'all hate women.

She started early for us on Friday for some reason which isn't normal I was told but normally it's an 8pm start running anywhere from 3:15-3:45.

She played until 1120 last night, but it may have been slightly longer than average because of:
1) prolonged applause after a particularly well done song (something I had never seen and, honestly, don’t understand why it happened. But it was on the order of 5-7 minutes, she pulled her IEMs out and walked around in awe to it. It was a very odd experience)
2) she brought out Sabrina Carpenter for the acoustic sessions

I don't have a hate for her but she needs to be called out for her bullshite ticket prices comments. She complained about them and didn't do shite except become a billionaire and fly around in her private jet. I don't have a problem with that but don't act like you care when you are THE person in the world that can do something

How in the world were you able to score tickets for $50?

I went for my wife last night and came to a couple of realizations.
1) Taylor swift isn’t cool
2) she doesn’t think she’s cool
3) she’s a regular person writing about her life and being not cool
4) regular, uncool suburbia sees a bit of themselves in someone just being herself

There were 20 females to males there. Most of the guys appeared to have been drug there against their will (and most had shirts indicating such), but every fan there was actually very kind, happy, singing along with every song. I’ve never been in a more pleasant line/crowd going in/out of a concert.

I’ve never been to a Superdome event that was sold out and had zero wait for a bathroom. 3 trips. Over 75% of stalls/troughs empty.

Is it a bit weird? Sure. But there were a ton of very regular chicks having the time of their life. And Ms Swift very much appears to be a musician who genuinely enjoys being on stage and making people happy. The bit I hinted at in my other post in the thread goes a bit further: there was a prolonged ovation. At some point, it became clear that someone said something to her on her in-ear monitors. She pushed them closer to hear more clearly. It must have been “pull your ears out. You can’t believe how loud this is.” She pulled one of the monitors out and had the most genuine expression of “oh my gosh” at just how loud the crowd was. She pulled the other out, walked around the stage, uttered to herself in disbelief for a while. The crowd wouldn’t stop. Eventually she walked back up to her piano and microphone, put them back on, and they started to die down when she said, “New Orleans, my band and I will never forget what you did for me.”

It was a very cute moment to experience, and she never gave the impression of anything other than “thank you so very much for coming to see me do what I love.”

What do you expect from her, to tell people not to come to her shows?

I was a bit uncomfortable with how much the floor was shaking Hopefully the stuctural designers used a big fat factor of safety, because I've never felt the dome rock like that.

She does something like this at every show. Every show to her is unforgettable and the crowd was the best ever.

It’s her shtick to be in awe of the crowd every night. She’s done that for a long time

Pearl Jam tried to take on Ticketmaster in the 90s and lost. Like it or not, it's supply and demand at work.

Oh, and one more day of meltdowns on this board.
