Here in Georgia id say the majority still don’t wear them unless forced at a grocery store and I still see plenty of people without them

Truth is I am starting to like the stretchy bandanna mask. It makes me look thinner by hiding my un-proportionally fat neck and middle-age chin, worn with a hat and sunglasses I look and feel like a bandit, and it is effectively worthless stopping viral spread.
Now those big cloth diaper masks the local news broadcasters wear in the field are another story.

Hey! I was asking about you the other day. I don't get on here as much but hadn't seen you on here in a long time. Neither you or Martini.

I know you've been going through a lot with marriage and father and you've discussed both on here so I wanted you to know that you and your situations at home have been in my prayers. Glad to see you back!

Hope all is well!

Are the masks really that big of an annoyance? I dint love wearing one, but they don’t even bother me anymore now that I’m used to them.

No, they’re not. But MUH RIGHTS!!!11!!!!1!

Despite the fact that precedence has already been set by the Supreme Court during a declared public health crisis.

Awww thanks Supa! Us Semolina peeps need to always stick together (seriously though that means a lot you have kept me in your prayers)

I just took a little break from here. I still won’t post as much as usual on here cause it’s been kinda toxic on here (especially if you have some opposing views of the majority of the posters on here).

Situations still basically the same in my life regarding my dad and marriage. Just trying to stay patient and continue to just ultimately trust God with it all.

I hope you have been doing well also, I know you have faced a lot of struggles as well.

Yes. It's that fricking annoying. It's annoying to have restricted breathing while walking in a grocery store. It's annoying to have it on while waiting for a table at a restaurant. It's annoying to have to run back to the car to get one just as you get to the door of a store, office, etc because you forgot it in the car....BECAUSE WE'VE NEVER HAD TO DO THIS RIDICULOUS shite before. It's annoying because it does nothing but serve as a virtue signaling device.

To answer the question, they’ll likely be required until we have a firmer grip on the virus. Whether that be a vaccine, proven treatment, or something else that is discovered to mitigate its spread and impact. I dint think anyone can reasonably say when that will be.

So basically just a completely arbitrary point in time subject SOLELY to the whims of local/state politicians. What the frick does a "firmer grip on the virus" even mean? Could you be any more nebulous? Is it the point where the OVERWHELMING portion of the population has an even LESS than the already minimal risk of serious complications from the virus?

Perhaps we should just wear them forever. Just to be safe. Because there will ALWAYS be infectious respiratory virus circulating among the population. Or maybe just another "two weeks" since we are already on day ~175 of "just two weeks to flatten the curve".

Not sure what this means. Here in AL, most don't wear them unless you go inside to the grocery or some other retail store. Few ever wear outdoors. I will say that I went to NO recently and was astonished at the number of people walking around outside with masks. Don't understand that

If it isn't annoying, how come you've never worn one in public before this? There has always been airborne respiratory diseases, some even reaching pandemic level

You say that....but there likely still are people that think HIPAA means they don’t have to tell their medical condition to a business.

Probably the same people that have latched on to the 6% CDC thing thinking it proves their point. Not realizing they simply further show their ignorance because it’s pretty clear as day to anyone that actually reads the data what that shows.

I’ve never been required to

Now that I’m being asked to, I have zero problem putting one on. It’s not nearly that big of a deal to me.

I forgot my mask when I went to a local ice cream shop last weekend

They had a sign on the door saying they would assume I had a medical condition if I wasn’t wearing one so I didn’t go back to the car

I think the notice started with “The powers that be have decided”
