Yeah when I retired from the military my wife informed me that mullets are not authorized in our household. Who knew!?!?! When I reminded her that I had a mullet when we met she asked me if she should go back to mall hair. Fair enough.

Mine is long for me right now because I haven't wanted to shave my head because of how cold it's been in NELA. Haven't shaved it in over a week.

I had great hair as a kid. Scrawny arms, but great hair!

I haven't had a haircut since Oct. 2021. It's past my shoulder blades now. For the past 20 years I've also had some sort of beard/moustache without being clean shaven once. I've decided this year the night before Halloween I'm going to shave my face and buzz my hair, then go to work the next morning as the scariest looking thing I can think of: myself.

Not on my head because it's mostly gone, but ear hair is another story.

I go through various hair lengths and styles every year. I will usually grow it out to where my shortest hair is about 4 inches once a year. I can’t get longer than that, it starts annoying me, and my wife

Ah, the Gallagher hairstyle made popular by the prop comic with the "Sledge-O-Matic.

If I try to grow my hair out at 48 years old, it would be known as a Vegas mini truck mullet

I've leaned heavily into the hobo look over the last decade. People tend to leave me alone or offer me loose change so it's a win/win.

I'm 50 and my hair is as long now as I've ever had it, especially in the back, actually the back is definitely longer than it's ever been. My reason was is the same as yours. Not sure how much longer I'll have these luscious locks, so I'm gonna let 'em grow.

Sadly, at 46 I've reached a point in my life where I have to trim my ear and nose hair more frequently than I get a haircut. I'm considering giving up the fight and just rocking the cue ball look.

I was kind of worried how it was going to go at work when I started growing it out 4 years ago. 3 or 4 of my coworkers grew theirs out as well after I did. I get compliments on it pretty often from both of the genders. It's also a flex on the bald people at this age.

former co-worker retired a few years back. He was outside sales in oilfield arena - close cropped hair his entire career. Today he looks like Ronnie Van Zant. He looked exactly he same in high school and now retirement.....wish I could pull that off but alas my hairline has receded to the point that long hair would look ridiculous. Sort of like this
