The same amount I tip at resterants, $0! Why should I pay extra just for someone doing there job?
You sound like a real winner. I'll bet you're the snap your fingers and yell "HEY YOU" type, aren't you?
You can always tell a man's character by how he treats those he does not have to be nice to.

There are several times a year that our carrier will come down the long driveway back to the house and leave our mail by the door
Similar situation, but like the previous comment, it's a different driver every time. Now that Amazon is giving them the boot, that won't be happening much anymore.

If you tip the mail carrier, you have to tip the garbage man too.

What about the recycling guy?

You don’t tip your server? Seriously?
You know they only make $2.00 a hour right?

If you tip the mail carrier, and, thus, the garbage man, yes, you must then tip the recyle man as well.

I tip my trash guys, Fedex driver, UPS driver and mail carrier. All of them go above and beyond for me. One made a special trip to my office because he knew I was expecting a rare watch that he had and I wasn't at home to sign

We make hard candy and give a jar to our mail carrier and our garbage guy.

Here's a tip: USPS sucks.

Zero. I only get about 4 pieces of useful mail a year anyway

My carrier manages to stuff a 10”x 12” package in my 9”x11” mailbox so they don’t have to get out of the vehicle.
Think I should tip?

Use to tip about $25 when we had a regular mail carrier.
Now we seem to get a different carrier every two weeks, so nothing.

I used to do a friend's taxes. He was a mail carrier. He consistently made mid 80K per year.
He made more money than a lot of people.

My mail carrier for the past few years are employees that seem to be on a rotation system and never the same day after day.
Prior to that, I had one guy that was servicing the area for several years and every year I'd hand out a couple dozen homemade chocolate chip cookies to the guy and he told me his wife REALLY looked forward to them, so it seems they were well appreciated.
I do the same for my garbage men and also make it a point to supply them each with a cold bottle of water, especially in the summer months that they too appreciate.
A little kindness goes a long way in this world.

I give the mailman a card and 40 bucks or so. He is awesome and takes care of us.
Trash truck driver I give him a card w 60 bucks in it. Our trash guys aren’t supposed to pick up shite not in a bag.
Tip them and they pick up anything I put out. It’s worth it to not have tons of crap stacked up waiting on the claw trailer
