That was my net "take home" pay 2 years ago. The company operates on much higher margins.

So you have made a lot of acquisitions or opened new offices the past few years. Can dentist just not manage an office?

Nothing and building up 6 figures of student debt.

All acquisitions.
Generally, dentists have zero business experience so without proper guidance their practice will fail.

Worked 40 hours a week in an office, made about $300/month.
At 21, full time, had take home of $50/week. Paid babysitter $25/week.

I was 25 in 1986. Bad year, really. Divorced and laid off. Probably 25K.

Hmm last time I checked you had to be a dentist to own a dental office. Are these government owned practices?
Posted on 1/8/15 at 8:20 pm to Grizzley
Do the dentists solicit their own patients or do you have to generate business?
Posted on 1/8/15 at 8:21 pm to Mudge87
Why is everyone so interested in some lame dental franchise?

I have never heard of this. I was under the impression that there are lots of dental and medical offices owned by private investors.

That's true. They won't usually fail b/c they have a lot of revenue coming in, but they are pretty clueless about the business side.

I don't know what law he is referring to, but owning an office (building) is different than owning the business
