Actually, if you think about it, there is probably a logical sense to that. Most jobs making less than 50k are shitty, demanding, more physical jobs. Past that you get more office type jobs where you are at a computer all day...you can figure out the rest

Started at a salary job 5.5 years ago making 35k so that was around ~17/hr maybe? Now I’m a baby baw and on pace for 80k-ish for the year. Only work half the year so I have no idea how to figure that out. Maybe 70/hr? Idk. I’m happy is all that matters

I’ve never calculated it in terms of per hour, until just now.

I’m up ~$36/hr over my starting job out of college.

I definitely didn’t stay at my first job this entire time though.

It really isn't that hard to have a household income pushing 100k

If you notice my original comment I literally stated that's how much I made LAST year.

If I break my salary down to a 40 hour/week hourly rate, I'm up about $35 an hour from where I started. I've been here 16 years now. Started as a spot welder and now am a systems analyst.

10$ seems extremely low for 21 years... I been with the same company 6 years and in up 13$...yearly bump, certifications bump, promotion bump, 5 year bump, 35 hours a week guaranteed rather I work or not... Christmas bonus increases every year... probably won't get but one more hourly rate bump... vacation weeks increase instead

Minimum wage was $5 something back then, so I'm up $31. Not enough

Divide your salary by 2080 and you will get your hourly rate.

Sounds like you’re a teacher.

Here’s my teacher hourly rate:

$54k/2080 = ~$26/hour.

I really wish I would have avoided this information.
