31. Family history of bad stuff in the poop factory.
Procedure was easy. Not so much the prep. I was not prepared with wet wipes and had a raw bootyhole by the end of the cleanse. Learn from my mistake. Be prepared.

My brother got colon cancer which spread to his liver and lungs. He was 51. He is taking chemo and going to MD Anderson. He should have gotten one when he turned 50 or before. What we didn’t know was that our grandmother died from colon cancer because we were both very young at the time. Check your family history, you may need to start at age 40. I don’t know if my brother is going to survive or not. It is very preventable if you get your scope done.

50. Get get the real colonoscopy not the virtual one. They find any polyps with the virtual one, then they can't remove them and send for biopsy. So might as well have the correct procedure done the first time. The procedure isn't bad because you are sedated. The problem is with the day before prep. lol Don't leave home that day.

I think I’d go at 40 if I was you.
I agree. I went at 30 and had polyps removes. Both my parents had colon cancer.

57 ... I’ve been invited back next year. Actually woke up 5-10 minutes before they were done. Remember watching some on the monitor as a polyp was being removed.
