luckily millennials learned from their parent's mistakes
1) People are starting families later in life, so there is no readon to get married until later, and generally at that point, they have lived out most of the issues that cause a divorce.
2) It's financially very tough to raise a family on one income, unless that income is really high, or you get government benefits.

You joke, but we're not that far off from our kids not having to worry about death. We may be the last mortal generation. Assuming we don't destroy the human race, AI and quantum computers will make death a thing of the past.

Wouldnt young people just inherit all the wealth the boomers are hoarding?
If i inherit my parents house, its going to be worth like 7 times more than my parents inheriting their parents shack.

Yep. Millenials won’t have to worry about things like cancer since they’re gonna shoot us in the fema camp

I already said how I did it in my first response Jackass. The one perk I had for taking shitty government pay for 4 years was the government paid 800/ month towards my loans.

Give us the whole story. How did you do it? What did you cut back on in order to do that?

Believe it or not, that clarifies it greatly and I can accept that view.
I may put it differently, but that might just be being obtuse.
all good, i understand many are not capable of more, but many are content with it and just make excuses why they cant do something
like the complaining about student loans.....stop making dumbass decisions on majors, attend school locally if at all possible, and work full time if at all possible and live at home if you can if you are so concerned with debt. if you cant live at home, live with as many roommates as possible.

Sure did, and guess what? That program is still widely available for Fed gov jobs and even some state jobs.

how are your kids, grandkids, nephews, etc., , ever going to get ahead?
My son 19 and several of his friends are probably all going to do ok. They all have graduated worked while in HS went to work in the field they want to work in and are either attending CC or trade school.
They all make between 25-40hr and have several thousand dollars saved. They all still live with their parents and are saving to move out but are not blowing all their money on sound systems and sneakers.
My son is working full time and going to school and already is contributing to his 401k that has a match to it. Bankrate calculator says he will have 10.2mil at age 60 with a 10% return.
I think they will all be ok because no body else wants to work and they will all be in management in 20yrs

The premise of the OP is flawed.
People act like all Boomers are living in a $700k house with $7million in retirement accounts, a condo in Destin, and a Grady White at the marina.
In actuality, that's only about 1% of that generation.
Most boomers are living on a combination of Social Security and any previous pension which isn't a thing anymore except for government (many of them put in military service, get veterans benefits too).

How do y’all complain about everything in this country and the millenials who are taking over the workforce but still think that the stock market will keep going up
They’re currently rolling up the stock market to take back all the wealth that boomers gained in their careers
Non boomers that added later never had a chance

Eating bugs and renting will liberate them.

it isnt that hard, just want to whine and live a lifestyle you havent earned
There are certainly valid complaints to be made about the state of education, and the housing market, and car industry, but it’s plain to everyone who knew their parents and grandparents that the younger generations live and spend much differently than those that came before them.
Living frugally is still very much possible but largely not practiced, much like eating healthy or exercising.

Never have I whined and I’m doing pretty good in the market and should retire just fine.
I’m not complaining about the millennials they are sitting in the drivers seat the ones who want to work and willing to are anyway.

The average boomer walked off the high school graduation stage and walked across the street to the factory and gave the boss man a firm handshake and asked for a job. After putting 40 good years in he’s now the ceo The average millenial has a phd and Starbucks keeps telling him he’s unqualified
Meanwhile the factory is still hiring and can’t find workers, they also pay more than Starbucks
