A Cat 10 could hit Texas for all I care. I'm tired of snorting Saharan dust, 103 + every day, and it hasn't rained for so long, I've forgotten what it looks like.

Philippe does good work. He was one of the first ones to sort out hurricane winds from the gradient winds on Maui, and really took on the prevailing media reports that the hurricane was a main driver in those winds and fires. That's really not the easiest thing to do being in his position these days. I was surprised to see a marked shift in reporting after that. Some outlets held onto it and kept pumping the hurricane angle, but many changed. That was good to see.

The Gulf is a jacuzzi. It'll be a Cat 4 monster somewhere between Sabine Pass and Galveston Bay next Tuesday. Not good

None of these current four areas of interest are anything to worry about. The one moving into the Gulf will be a weak rain maker and the three fish waves in the Atlantic will struggle to get below 1000 mb.

Parked on the texmex border. That should give swla the rain it needs! Although it's labor day weekend.

Precipitation forecast only shows less than 1/2” for most of SWLA. We need a foot of rain to make a difference down here.

Early morning as I didn’t even look at picture real well. I was thinking he was talking about the system next week.

I can always dream! Im tired of putting stress on my well water watering the roadline at my house. My biggest fear is a cigarette butt lighting my yard on fire.

All I know is that Louisiana doesn’t need another named storm of any strength hitting us anytime soon. The insurance situation is bad enough as it is.

The latest 6-10 day forecast from NOAA shows the Central Gulf with below normal rainfall for that period, and temps 70-80% higher than normal.

Obviously the climate authorities are not bullish on tropical storm development in that region next week. If anything develops, apparently it'll be well south of Louisiana or Southeast TX. Only on Tuesday next week is a good chance of rain likely.
