Look at the NOAA 6-10 day outlook map. It clearly portrays Louisiana and adjacent areas in the Southeast US in that dark maroon/brownish color, which indicates 70-80% above normal for the area and the dates shown.

80% of 95 is 76 degrees.

Do the math now and get back to us.

You do realize that the outlook you are referencing says percent chance that the temps are above normal, right? Not that they are 70-80% above normal Temps.

Slight difference.

I figured you would come back and acknowledge that you misread it, realizing that what you are citing is impossible.

But nope. Double down.

My bad... I misread the NOAA Climate 6-10 Day Outlook Color Chart-- it should be 80-90% above normal, for the areas colored dark maroon/brownish: all of LA, East Texas, most of Oklahoma and Arkansas, and parts of Miss, Ala, GA and FL.

Let’s say 90 degrees is normal. 90% of 90 degrees is 81 degrees.

90+81= 171 degrees

The switch is about to be flipped in the Atlantic tropics with multiple areas of interest w/potential to develop further. Texas may get a tropical storm next week. Caribbean system is a big concern. Ensemble solutions (model multiple simulations) highlight areas of interest that NHC watches continuously.

Much like usual, you don't have a clue what you are looking at nor talking about.
