Folks i know from Rosman do meet that drscription, but at the same time, if they trust you, they would give you their last meal. The community has been neglected, and abandoned since Dupont left (maybe even before. Many of them live on property that has been in the family for generations, and folks like me move here, can afford the high prices, which in turn make if harder for them. That is why they arr resistant to outsiders, and i fully understand.

Exactly. They feel disrespected much of the time from the neighboring areas because many are not from there especially heading out over towards Cashers/Highlands/Toxaway. But the ones I have gotten to know over the years are no different from my family in ETN.
