True. Oceans have 2 High and Low tides daily. The Gulf of America only has 1 High & 1 Low tide daily.

That’s down the road a little. Almost positive there is one right on the beach in Gulfport or biloxi.
There are 8 Waffle Houses scattered across the Mississippi Gulf coast “beach.”
The fanciest and newest one is in Biloxi between the Hard Rock and Harrah’s. It is all brick and was elevated. See post above for the exterior.
My favorite is that some of them are short spaced by less than a mile.

I'm pretty sure there were even more than that Pre-Katrina.

There are some locations depending on the cycle and year may experience 2 tides in the gulf.
At least we are blessed with pretty narrow tidal ranges. It could be worse. There is a place in Maine where the tide range is over 20 feet.
That is higher than some levees.

And I think that is in the GULF of Maine, which according to the logic of some here would not be part of the Atlantic Ocean.
All gulfs are generally part of an ocean.

When you go down the road next to the ocean from Gulfport to Biloxi it feels like there is a Waffle House every couple miles

Interstate ramp to hurricane - "come at me bro."

That’s how the hurricanes make it on land, they come in from that ramp!

There's literally a Waffle House like 20 yards from where that picture was taken.

I typically stay at a Doubletree hotel directly across the street from that when I am in Biloxi. Very enjoyable place to stay!

i would have preferred to keep Baricev's restaurant instead of the ramp

Baricev's was on the other side of the Buena Vista Motel from the ramp. All three- Baricev's, Buena Vista motel, and the ramp-- existed from 1988 (when the ramp opened) to the early 1990s.
Baricev’s ceased operations in the early 1990s when the family leased the property and building to the Biloxi Belle Casino. The Baricev family eventually sold the property in the mid-90s after the Biloxi Belle’s bankruptcy and the owners of the Beau Rivage inquired about purchasing the property where that resort currently stands.

Oh that's their beach. I thought it was just a patch of unbuildable dirt or conservation area.

I always consider this Waffle House (across from the Beau) the Patient Zero for trashy Waffle Houses. It was insane going in there back in the 90s and it’s impact spread through the entire organization.

There's a Shell gas station right next door to it that's referred to by locals as "Scary Shell Gas Station."
You can make an entire night out of parking your car at the top of the Beau parking garage and take in a Schuckers baseball game while also people watching customers at the Waffle House, Shell Station, and walking the boulevard completely free of charge.
