There are plenty of places you can go with a cooler environment without having to shovel snow or using snow blower.
Fact.
I enjoy getting snow every winter but it's not enough to have to shovel off the driveway. It doesn't stay cold enough for it to stick around and accumulate here.

So a climate that is conducive to outdoor activities produces healthier people? Who knew?

It is to the point now where I get this way when I even go to Mississippi.

I can build a 400k home in the country in south Louisiana
A $400K country home in S LA would be pretty meh compared to a $4K apartment in denver.

I've been to Fargo once in June and it was 90+ during the day but was down to the 50s at night. Seemed like a pretty nice city, but not somewhere I'd want to hang out for the winter.

Go check out Boulder. It has lots of outdoor stuff and it’s also a college town. It has tons of good restaurants.

So many people are stuck in LA with this, myself included. I want out but I also want my child(ren) to grow up with grandparents, and I'd have to change my expectations on lifestyle to move to a city I would love, like Denver.
You know, people can travel. I have a friend that says she thinks she was closer to her grandparents because she didn't see them all the time. She went and stayed with them a few weeks each year and they'd also come visit some. When she stayed with them, she had their attention. They all enjoyed it. When they were around all they time, she wasn't usually talking to them and spending time with just them.
I don't have grandkids yet, but most of my friends do. I want my children to go and live big, to do absolutely whatever they want to do and live where they want to live. I don't want them feeling stuck to me.
Everybody needs to go and do their thing. People can travel!!!

I've been to every state but ND, SD and DE

I haven't been to Michigan, Vermont, or Rhode Island. 47/50 accounted for as well. I might have flown through Detroit one time, but I don't count that.
Two summers ago is when I was in Fargo, that road trip crossed off North Dakota and Wisconsin.

People ITT are complaining about Colorado being a democrat-run hellhole. No way they're moving to CA, OR, or WA

tell me how you can catch a tuna, or sailfish, or snapper, or grouper in CO.

Ca, Or and Wa are very divided states. You can live in large parts of both and never deal with the batshit insanity of progressivism.
Colorado used to be like that, but unless you're around Co Springs, it's no longer.

Unless having a drier western climate is a requirement there are areas east that have mountains, terrain, seasons and lower COL than Denver.
