smaller boat

This. Check out Cobalt R4. All the quality and use case of the Searay in a more manageable size with a single outboard.

sucks to be happy and sad at the same time. I had a friend use my bay boat 4 times and begged me to sell it. I finally agreed to sell it. First time he went out after buying it, the lower unit went out. I told him he's the only one using it and that's why I sold it. Bad luck for him.

Cobalt made the very best small boats before being bought by Malibu. I do not know what they are like now.

One of my coworkers dropped 80k on a bass boat back in the Spring. He's used it twice. This has nothing to do with the OP, I just wanted to call out my dumbass coworker.

Mike, you're an idiot.

I miss the days of just fishing by myself and just running it by myself. It’s the time I felt most free in my life.

It’s still really fun to run a boat with kids. It’s a different type of fun, but still really enjoyable. I had a blast with my son this past weekend on our boat. You should definitely get another bass boat!

A few years ago my dad tried to sell a boat and talked to a dealer he knew. The dealer said that the market was full of reprocessed boats, folks were buying them before summer, using them, then letting them go without paying for them.

I don’t know if that is still going on but that sucks.

My husband will feel the same. He really enjoys using his boat.

With all do respect...I'd rather die on my boat than die in some shitty nursing home

Not that many pros run bass cats but the nicest one I was ever in with John Crews. I ended up buying a new Legend V20 in 2015 and plan on running it forever. I was with Greg Hackney in 2014 who had one and never looked back.

The best way to have access to a boat is to have friends with boats.

Actually owning a boat sucks. The amount of time and money needed for the maintenance and upkeep is ridiculous.

it much better to have friends with boats than to actually own the boat.

Leaving in a few to head down to Freeport to go fishing. We keep our boat in stack down there.

We’ve had it for 6+ years and no regrets!

You sound jealous AF. And it's none of your business how much he uses HIS boat. Worry about your own shite and not somebody elses.
