This is wild and feels like projection.
Here are some things to talk about with female friends. They are, shockingly, the same as what you might talk about with male friends.
"How are you?"
"What did you think about XYZ?"
"Have you seen the new [insert actor here] movie?"
That's just three very normal things. Or, here's a wild thing, assume something in their life happened. Maybe they had a child and they seem really happy. The conversation might go
"You seem really happy. What's been the best part of this so far?"
OR
"How are your parents feeling about all of this?"
These are the same questions/comments I'd make to my male friends. My friend told me he was going bow hunting the other day. My question to him wasn't anything that could be relegated to gender. It was "I hear that's incredibly difficult. Aside from the bow, what's the biggest difference from rifle hunting?" which then leads to stories traded.
I kind of feel sorry for you if you can't believe this. That's an entire half of the population you've limited yourself to correspondence with.

I’m saying I don’t understand what you can say to a male friend that you can’t say to a female friend specifically because they are female.
I talk to certain friends different ways because every relationship is different. I have one friendship that’s basically nothing but insults. I have another friendship where the majority of the conversation is ideas and advice.
The thought that you can’t be friends with a female is bizarre.
