It’s a terrible addiction. A friend’s aunt had to basically live in an oxygen tank in her home due to her lungs getting fricked up from smoking. He said she would turn off the oxygen, peel back the plastic cocoon around her, sit up in bed hacking away and light up a fricking cig.........and repeat about every 20 mins or so. So fricked up!

I think you're reading far too much into what I posted. I don't smoke and I don't care who does except for the assholes who toss the butts out of their vehicle window. Those people need their hand smashed with a hammer.

The smokers I don't understand or the ones that ask you for a lighter. And you can tell that these people have been smoking for years. They seem to forget that there are three things you need to smoke: a cigarette, a lighter or match, and yourself. These people, however, are not the brightest.

There's a reason it's against the law to smoke near the entrances of most buildings (not sure if it's just public or public and private). It's that your choice to shorten your life span by inhaling chemicals is yours to make for yourself and not others. Others should not be subjected to having to inhale your secondhand.
I don't care that you do it, but I care when your right to smoke infringes on my right to NOT be negatively impacted by your poor life decisions

Smells like freedom to me.
Not a smoker, but I don’t like telling people what to do with their lives either. I grew up in a different time period though where I think we had a little more tolerance and a lot less bitching.

I know a family with 4 siblings. Two did not smoke and lived to their 90s. The other two smoked and died of cancer in their 50s.
Anecdotal, but it gets your attention.

I wasn't directing my comment at you. I was directing it at the trashy people on this board who got "butt" hurt from my post, and they know who they are.

That doesn't bother me so much on the roads. But when people just toss their butts on the ground on sidewalks, entrances to public places, parks, their houses, etc...places with lots of foot traffic...that's not very Kool.

I know you didn't ask me but it took cancer, radiation treatment and chemotherapy to finally help me quit. Been almost 2 years and still crave a smoke often. Had to pretty much give up drinking also due to it being the strongest trigger for me. It doesn't bother me to be around smokers though. I understand their addiction and figure I need to spend time with them cuz they will die from being a smoker so I won't harass them if they light up.

When I was a smoker, I actually enjoyed it more. I kinda always liked standing out in cold weather and it gave me an excuse to and was the perfect amount of time.

Nothing like a cigarette in the duck blind at first light. Only time I smoke. Then and after a few cold ones at the camp. I know not good but better than most

I used to smoke. I was an idiot.
My aunt got mouth cancer from smoking.
And that stuff freaking stinks. You don't realize it when you smoke but i can smell it now.
