yes it is a privilege to be white. just like spandex should he a privilege and not a right
I also do not feel white guilt or shame. I am Irish and my people have had it pretty bad throughout history.

Who gives a shite that there are laws in place to govern discrimination when the legal system favors whites and the rich. You're truly naive if you think the existence of laws equates to compliance. It wasn't until the 1960's that legislation passed to even protect blacks under the law from discrimination, and you act like that's some milestone fricking achievement. You can't give people rights they already inherently have. Now lets talk about all the things that were denied to blacks up to that point. Lets talk about the lynchings and exploitation. You think legislation that was passed less than 60 years ago makes up for over 250 years of atrocities? You think that wipes the slate clean. I guess it does wipe the slate clean if it's a white man doing the wiping. Pay my ancestors for their labor that they were never compensated for. If you think letting blacks use the same fricking water fountain as you and treating them like more than livestock entitles you to a pat on the back then you're in for a rude awakening. Quite honestly, the worst thing that we could have done as black people was integrate. Black wall street is a perfect example of how a separatist ideology worked to our advantage as blacks, and lo and behold white people saw to it that all that progress was put to a screeching halt. They burned those businesses to the ground. The playing field isn't close to being even.

No it's not pretty cut and dry. You used some adjectives to try and make a case for yourself, I used no adjectives other than race. That is an example of stereotypes, not white privilege. He was very well spoken and eloquent. IMHO, people from TD would've been impressed (and commented on) because someone who wasn't a complete moron was at the protest.
Hell, I completely expect him to get many guest spots on TV based on the way he speaks and presents himself. He would not get those spots if he were white

I think there's a special shampoo you need to get rid of it. Once the privilege is gone, things should get better. Or worse. I haven't used the shampoo due to my privilege.

"Green privilege" is much more realistic than "white privilege" is. Money gives you clout, no matter what color that you are.

I'm proud of the OT. There has actually been some honest intellectual discussion in this thread. Obviously there were a couple of the typical racist posts sprinkled in there but they didn't dominate the conversation as usual
