Corn-

That is awful and I hate to hear that. Makes me want to get a colonoscopy yearly based on this becoming more and more prevalent in the younger population. It has to be diet related- everything that we are eating is causing these issues. Sucks! Prayers for JVB’s family

I found out last year I had stage 3 colorectal cancer at 42. Get checked fellas

Jesus. I'm 42 and lost both of my parents to cancer last year, a month apart. All of these frickheads getting rich from social media and bullshite, I wish I had the money to actually do something about cancer. It's just not right

There were rumors early on his wife is a huge natural health person and that likely cost him? I haven’t paid attention lately

She is a big MAHA person but there is no evidence that he was treating his cancer any differently than anyone else.

Sad news. RIP.

Colon cancer.

Please get checked folks! I would start at age 40 and pay out of pocket if needed. Very preventable and it’s 10 years between tests if you are clear.

What sucks is that the indication is still 45-50 for screening. So, he had to have symptoms to get evaluated, and that means progression. Just a no-win situation.

10 is too much, especially if there’s a family history of it

It needs to be 3-5 years at this point with our without family history.
I’d guess men are probably far more likely to get this than women but that could be me talking out of my arse. The procedure costs are low

Get your shite checked, gentlemen

frick cancer
50 is the first age this is recommended; looks like he would have needed the screening earlier than that.

i think insurance companies should at least start paying for cologuard tests starting at age 40.

not nearly as expensive as a full blown colonoscopy and may have caught his sooner.

yes cologuard sucks but in this particular case it makes sense if insurance refuses screenings until age 50.

i don't see the downside to having that; it cant be that expensive to analyze someone mail-in poop.

Annual Percent Change & Age-Specific Patterns

Young adults (20–39, 40–44, 45–49)

A JAMA study on age-specific incidence trends showed:
• Ages 20–39: ~1.6% annual increase in incidence since 2004. ?
• Ages 40–44 & 50–54: ~2.0–2.6% annual increase since 2012. ?
• Ages 45–49: Sharp rise (~12% annual increase from 2019–2022), especially in localized disease detection.

I am probably only person here to say this but I thought he was great in Rules of Attraction. That was a movie I loved that is generally reviled.

shite. He always seemed like a great guy. Wasn’t big headed and even took roles that poked fun at himself or playing fictionalized versions of himself.

Also did some fan service/fun projects like that super dark but great power/rangers skit.

Just read he was starting to auction off his Dawson’s creek and varsity blues stuff last November to offset cancer treatment costs.
