I think it was an accident and they covered it up for some reason.
Definitely someone in the family, maybe her brother.

saw an investigative documentary a while back in that the brother hit her with an object in a fit of rage, if true i guess the parents thought process was losing one child was bad enough and didnt want to lose both.
Yep, they covered for him.

Here is evidence:
1. Ransom note clearly written by Patsy. 0% chance this is untrue. Even though a couple of handwriting experts, at best, said it was inconclusive, just the wording, (foreign faction, lol),( Ransom being exact same as his bonus), the fact it was written with stationery from the house, the fact it was "left" at the scene, yet the body was never kidnapped, just is a give away, and the note said to not call the cops and to wait on a 10 AM instruction, yet the family never worried about that.
2. Even though I need to go no further, the evidence that the body was "killed" with implements from the house, coupled with the fact of no force able entry found is hard to overcome.
3. Patsy's 911 call is strange, as well.
4. Patsy was wearing the same clothes as the night before ( doesn't imply guilt, though)
5. The brother had hit her with a golf club over a year before JBs death.
I could go on.
