It’s easier if you have. But you can learn anything you need in bar review.

I went to TLS knowing I'd take the LA bar exam and felt that we had a great civil law curriculum. I wonder how many grads on the common law track decide to stay local and whether that affects bar passage rates. As helpful as bar prep courses are (I did learn more in my successions bar prep than in a semester course). that's got to be a disadvantage.

Common Law vs Civil Law is the most overhyped bullshite.

There’s no real difference among states; they all have both to some degree. Louisiana calls a couple terms weird and that’s about it.

Nobody wants to admit this.

They must have lowered the standards. Thats a fricking ridiculous passage rate. It was sub 50% when I took it. The state just unleashed a bunch of unqualified attorneys.

Then they get a dose of New Orleans and want to stay. If you didnt take the Code classes you aren't passing the LA Bar.
Do they know that? Wouldn't they review material in order to get up to speed?

These threads have been posted before and I don't recall Tulane grads performing in the maner above years past.

Tulane almost always trails LSU. I don’t remember it ever being behind Southern.

Traditionally Tulane was pay your fees and make your Bs. LSU was more like storming a hostile beach; there were substantial casualties.

LSU is at its usual place on the top but Tulane needs to be ashamed of themselves.

Why wouldn’t that make sense?

When I took the bar exam there was a dude in there on his SIXTH try. I don’t know if he passed that time or not but, he ended up passing at some point because he is actively practicing law.
