There is more illegal weed being grown in California than you realize. All cartel run.
Les Stroud (Survivorman) had a story about this. When he was setting up an episode in Humbolt County, he had quite a few locals that warned him against it due to all of the grow operations on federal land.

Yep. He's paying over 7 a gram for a bulk purchase.
I pay 100 out the door for an oz here in Oklahoma.

That’s what’s interesting about it. The current laws right now are offering people a way to purchase THC products online through 3rd party tested company. Which is great for people like me who was losing his life to alcohol. But if they change it up, I would have to get some medical card to get the real stuff. But I don’t want to do that because I’m not in pain nor do I want want to have to go through all the hoops just to overpay for something that I could grow myself. Then the other options are go down to the corner store and pick up some Kratom or other crap or worst of all for me, a case of beer.
But you sit there and blame the reasoning of why it should be banned is people who are pretending to have knee or back pain

does not read like there is a middle ground. i wonder if some states will move to legalize hemp now. this is all gotten pretty silly with regulated mj and completely unregulated hemp. gonna be hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube.

So far the ability to buy hemp products was a middle ground that turned out to be a blessing. Life is so much better without alcohol. That’s coming from someone who denied that for 40 years. I know that THC gets the stigma of being a gateway drug, but I’m not sure where I would be if I hadn’t discovered it. Definitely wouldn’t still be married ??
I’ve also had several friends and my wife try some of my “chronic waters” and they enjoyed them and definitely enjoyed the morning after not being hungover or craving for more, alas hair of the dog

Also, the main reason I jumped in on this post is because the comment made by Stout about people faking knee and back pain. His Holy Than Thou attitude is so over the top

Purely based on my anecdotal experiences, you might be in the exception part of THC users.
Not judging you, as I truly don't care what people put into their bodies, as long as they aren't a burden on others.
I have watched a few people start off with THC for 'back pain', then in their mind it no longer worked so they went the Kratom route next and were completely different people. Obviously, that is not always the path, but again, I am only speaking from my experience dealing with a few carpenters who used to work for me. One lost his whole family over Kratom.

I take a small piece of a gummy about an hour before bed and sleep through the night. It's been a game changer for sleep. Losing that would suck. Used to wake up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep because my mind was racing.

That’s what’s crazy. Why is kratom never gone after by the nanny state government?

I've actually never smoked anything in my life.

This. The gummies and drinks have been a game changer for me. Alcohol is not a good thing for me in any way. I've also been able to get off the anxiety medication as well, and my sleep has been fantastic. I have zero desire to smoke anything. I just want to be able to enjoy my gummy that showed up in my mailbox or have a drink with zero alcohol in it in peace and not have the damn government tell me what I can and can't do.
