$900? Are you serious or is that hyperbole? Holy shite if serious!

-$50 from that. Yes. Its more than we pay for internet service for the entire year. I will demand that my kid will sleep in it.

How much are these?

I can't imagine what a graduation ring cost these days. I didn't even get one because I knew I wasn't going to wear it and graduating HS or dropping out and getting whatever replaced a GED... Whatever one needs to move on in life shouldn't be THAT big of a deal. I mean I get it, it is moving on in life, etc but thousands and thousands of people graduate HS every year.. But for those who have children, how much would you estimate you spend on "unnecessary" shite every year? I am talking about things that your kids will have limited use of.. I am not talking about clothes they will outgrow, they need clothes, but things that they might use, play with, etc a few times

My kid wears hers every day of school even if it's 85 degrees outside. They say it's cold in the classrooms.

How did you letter in the 9th grade?

I have been told upwards of $5,000.00 You know how many poloroids you can buy with five thousand dollars? batshit crazy, man.

I blame ladies. No way this even exists if men's spending decided the value of things.

What? Real leather? You sure it’s not some nu-vinyl fabrication?

You should attend a Louisiana public HS graduation. I saw a lot of over the top celebrating. I guess for many of those families, that was the first kid in their family to ever graduate HS. That night was probably the peak of that child's career life.

I just threw mine out after never wearing it for 25 years... still had all the loose patches in the pocket. Ours were free though.

Way back in 1981, the company that sold the jackets had a program for you to sell M&M’s to help pay for your letter jacket. Myself and many teammates went this route.

At my dumbass school they wouldn’t give it to you until middle of your senior year so you get like 30days worth of usage.

They still do the same shite 20years later.

We give them at the end of the semester that they letter, regardless of grade. So, if you lettered in a fall sports the orders are going out soon.

I’m pretty sure mine was actual leather in HS in the early 2000’s. I think my parents still have it. They asked me if I wanted it and I told them absolutely not.

I went to two different high schools. One in Las Vegas and the other in Louisiana. Both schools gave me mine.

I had to wear the gay arse one with white sleaves because it was academic letter jacket. The athletes had maroon sleeves.

I tried taking mine out of the closet but the sleeves are all sticky. They must've made that shite out of shitty chinese plastic.

Graduated in '96, 9 time letterman, district mvp, team mvp and 6 time district champs.
