It’s just one of those days when you don’t wanna get up, everything is fricked.

Lived there for 4 years in my late 20s, great an area as you can find in downtown. As you get closer to the actual Lincoln Park itself, housing can get pricier but tends to be nicer, more high-rises etc. We lived in the Eugenie Terrace apt building which was awesome. Parking in a high rise building garage will cost your right testicle so most people street park. My only issue was one time my car window was smashed in when street parking by lincoln park zoo but that can happen anywhere

It produced a terrible 90s band.

I'll allow it. They do in fact suck.

I do. You quoted Limp Bizkit in a Lincoln/Linkin Park thread.

OP isn't even moving there for the Nookie, man.

That's the nicest thing anyone's said about Fred Durst in 18 years.

Rode bikes through it in August and it seemed very nice in most areas. The area of Chicago north of the river is mostly nice in the downtown area.

LOTS of walkers and bikers all over the area. Lincoln Park full of people on the weekends.

My daughter(sorry, no pics) is moving there in a few weeks. Single, early 30s, starting a job at Northwestern university. She already rented an apartment. Pics of the apartment and building look awesome. Seems to be a very secure building.

Cool. And congrats. Yeah outside of being closer to NW she'll be as safe as she can be. it's close to the city. Just south of wrigley. Solid.

If you hear her saying she's hanging over on Rush a lot then be concerned...not for her physical safety though.

Lincoln Park is great!!

Just south of DePaul is basically Halsted and Webster
Oz Park is right there, the lake is a 10 min bike ride away, restaurants, bars, shops, and easy access to public transportation (Armitage "L" stop at Sheffield).

I lived there from '88 - '05; it was awesome. The only reason I moved to the suburbs was I started a family and I was looking at 20k for kindergarten so I was peace out LIncoln Park...

From what I heard a while back there was a rapist in Lincoln Park. He is climbing in yo windows, snatching yo people up, trying to rape them so you need to hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband because they raping everybody out there.

It's a great neighborhood. Great location, tons of bars, restaurants, and shops. Very bustling and filled with young professionals. Expensive rent, difficult parking. For those reasons when i bought my condo i bought in Lakeview... more for the money and still a fantastic area.

Was just in Lakeview recently. How expensive is it to live there?
