If you survive the 1st shift invest the earnings in a level III+ or better vest and you increase your odds of surviving the 2nd shift.

I don’t believe for a second that Waffle House is offering $300/shift without some massive catch or limitation.

My guess is $300 including tips, so WH isn’t out the entire amount. My daughter has made $500 in tips on a Friday at a chain sports bar here in central Alabama. It’s not big tips, just a lot of turnaround. If people can actually find a restaurant with decent service and staff, they will keep coming back.

One of my buddies is an EVP for them and I’ve seen him jump in and start cooking when it got busy. They might not have great dental insurance but they don’t tolerate lazy.
