Know how I know you don’t partake at certain Wendy’s?
Their drive thru tends to be on Popeye’s level with regards to order roulette if you have more than one set of items. This has been the case at the one by my parents’ house for at least 35 years. The one in my current town isn’t much better between that and being out of everything constantly.

Just saw a sign posted on the drive thru lane
They really think that’s going to get them any help in this job market? That’s pathetic
That is pathetic considering I had friends making that 20 years ago at McDonalds.

Domino's with a $1,000 bonus....staccccckkkked.
I've been seeing signs for 2k bonus for at least a month now. Few fast food places have 1k bonus signs as well but you could be rolling in dough at Domino's.

there is a Popeyes here in Alabaster that has a 10 per hour sign. I saw it and looked at my wife and said "and people wonder why their service is shite".

I wish Wendy’s was offering the great burgers they had in the late 70’s…….

Wendy’s quality has taken the worst nosedive I’ve seen of any restaurant. Sad to see from what used to be my favorite fast food.
Absolutely. It's more terrible quality control. There's no consistency. The burgers are dry as shite but you'll get one good juicy one that makes you come back.

No doubt. Teen nephew just got a part time job at Publix for $14.

These corporations are up shite's creek. The corporations need the employees more than the employees need the corporations in this day and age so PAY UP. Stop paying fully grown and functioning adults $9/hour and act like you're doing them a favor. That's summer grocery store bagboy pay and certainly not enough to deal with the assholes at a fast food joint.

With inflation the way it is, those machines to run the grill and register at most fast food restaurants are probably seeming fairly affordable.

Don’t understand the obsession over fast food joint pay.

Those jobs have never been for fully grown functional adults.

Do not work at fast food places

Yeah but they also offer free frostys for life
That’s the kicker
That’s the kicker

Yeah, they in fact do. It's the truth, and it's not the most convenient thing, but adults do work in fast food chains.
We can go on and on about the decisions they've made and I'd tend to agree that you shouldn't have children if you're 25+ and wearing a headset in a McDonald's drive thru, but it's the unfortunate reality of the situation.
Corporations better wake up.

Using some of that grocery bag money on salaries. Smart move.

It's concerning how quickly inflation is rising.

The reality of fast food moving forward.
$15 and up pay means they will hire fewer workers, and have better employees potentially. Probably a lot of people put on salary (aka get more hours for same pay).
Prices will continue to go up. Locations will close. Consumers will have a choice to make between paying $80 to feed a family of 5 vs. eating at home or sitting down to eat for just a little more.
So what happens to the employee thats "worth" $9 per hour?
