Unless you are Patrick Bateman, please go to your local Petco or Pet Smart. They have adoption events.

If you can’t find a kitten, you might be borderline mentally challenged.
Catching it and domesticating it is a whole other story.

Very true. This guy/gal may be “touched” or this is a troll post. Either way have a feeling no kitty is safe around this individual…

Accurate. They're everywhere.

There are always people giving away kittens left and right daily on the various local Facebook groups.
But don't be the a-hole who lets his cat outside to shite in other people's gardens, flowerbeds, and lawns and kills the wildlife if you live in a neighborhood.

PetSmart and Petco both usually have cats, kittens at their stores for adoption and also have "adoption events".

Petco, in partnership with Petco Love and local animal welfare organizations, hosts adoption events. Contact your neighborhood Petco Pet Care Center for details or view upcoming events online.

PetSmart hosts regular adoption events, primarily through PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weeks (typically in March and October), partnering with local rescues to bring adoptable pets to their stores for meet-and-greets, often with same-day adoptions possible. To find events near you, visit the PetSmart Charities website, check local rescue websites (like Acadiana Animal Aid), or use PetSmart's adoption finder for current opportunities, as specific dates and times vary by location and organization.

I always just go by a vet office or the pound and pick two up aandstart training them to be inside/outside cats. If the shelter asks, just tell them they'll be indoor only, as long as they didn't declaw them then just roll with it. They'll definitely need their front claws to climb trees and hunt prey.
I live in the middle of nowhere and I love having indoor/outdoor kittens. They kill rodents and kill every snake in probably a 25 acre area. They do occasionally kill some small birds, but that's the cost of doing business out in the country.
My current two are now 4 years old and they enjoy attention, they love hunting and will cuddle and do some cool shite. They're both really loyal and if I go outside and loudly whistle and call their names then they'll come from wherever they are. They patrol my fields, woods, shop buildings, etc.

There's the male currently taking over my bulldog's dog bed.

The adoption place said they wouldn’t allow any of their cats to be allowed outside and denied us.
Good move. They should all adopt that policy.

We got a 9 mo old kitten for our daughter for Christmas. After looking around and lots of places that have "free" kittens including marketplace, craigslist, nextdoor, etc, we adopted from the local Humane society shelter.
Free ones can be tempting but we paid $100 at the shelter and got one that has already been spayed, was up to date on all shots and checkups with the next round included when they're due, and a complete history of the cat including previous owners and why they chose to give up the cat. Free cats would likely include none of that.

Why don’t you just lie? Afraid the pussy police will come after you?

If you can't find a kitten.. what are you doing? This was years ago, but my mom's cat died and for Christmas I wanted to get her a kitten. I called up someone who called the head of animal control for me. Dude told him "we got a batch of kittens that is scheduled to be put down next week, tell him to stop by". I didn't even have to fill out papers or "adopt" it...
Go to tractor supply.. As someone who works there.
