So, why are all you mouth breathing idiots against wearing masks?

What % of people would have to survive a virus before you would be ok without general usage of masks to prevent transmission?

Evidently COVIDs 99.74% survival rate is too risky for you to go without a mask.
And we know that 99.9% is safe enough since we don't have to wear masks for the seasonal flu.

So somewhere between 99.74 and 99.9 is where you draw the line on when masks are necessary. Where in that .0016 do we reach the magic number?

I don't want to wear a mask for this virus, because masks are dehumanizing and shouldn't be a regular feature of life.

podkatt on twitter is borderline unbearable on this. irrational overweight guy who wants everybody to stay home because he is high risk.

People cheering on the shutdown of things they aren’t even involved with are the worst. I saw someone the other day cheering on the LHSAA football delay by saying “football is great but it isn’t worth losing my life”. Like she didn’t have the option of just not going to a fricking game.

a better comparison to this is the smoking ban.

Where was all of yall's righteous outrage then?

You’re smart to know that executive orders, proclamations and ordinances aren’t the same as legislation

Tell me the difference between what I just edited, and what you are saying.

I didn't ask that.

I asked where was your outrage for that?

I'll answer: this board cheered that legislation on because they didn't smoke and smoker's rights stopped at their health.

Those were the arguments presented here for why it wasn't government overreach.

The whole medicall exemption is just a supposed loophole that conspiracy whackjobs think they found.

It's not a "supposed loophole", and it doesn't even directly affect me, but it's a valid complaint that there are exemptions to this mandate that aren't even defined.

I wish everyone would have the same anger about the Patriot Act, Civil Asset Forfeiture, No knock warrants, mandatory min sentences for weed, shipping our industries to China, one sided trade with the Eu, and a shite ton of other way more important things than wearing a freaking mask

Much of the anger is based around the process the result withstanding.. add into the fact that years of research has shown the affects of secondhand smoke vs the unproven research and data surrounding masks and you’re going to have pushback.. Hell the main source of recommendation regarding masks has been wishy washy since April

Weird.

Most of my group is conservative. Most don’t smoke, but don’t really GAF if someone smokes next to us. I guess we’re just weirdos tho right?

I’m pretty sure if you did a deep Google search of my TD history, I’ve actually said that I think that having smokers walk a mile from a buildings entrance and taking away an establishment’s ability to have a smoking section was fricking stupid.

But keeping spinning that record
