pretty sure they were the last parish to report a positive test back in the beginning.

They still at the bottom of cases and deaths. What's their secret?

Would just be nice to see a reduction before Smack Smack holds another Talk Down To The Masses conference

We're so close.
Aug 7-9: 286 Increase
Aug 9-18: 172 Increase

That's a hell of a slowdown.

check out their population density

I mean you might go to the store or out to eat in Natchez but other than that you are pretty much just hanging out with the same people and not mixing with outsiders

They're the least populous parish in the state is my guess.

Hard to spread a highly communicable disease when the most people you can throw in a room is 8.

Either that, or they've replaced jelly on their sandwiches with horse dewormer, which is probably readily available in that neck of the woods.

Top headline in today's edition of the Advocate:

"Louisiana COVID numbers: 70 more deaths reported as hospitalizations rise, ICU space dwindles"

Only negative news, all the time.

What is good if you look parish by parish is the estimated infection percentage and the natural immunity it brings.

For this state some of that might be skewed. Mostly because the model has its own method of projecting for probable cases. Our data includes probable by default so the model adds in extra probables.

Nah. Covid doesn't infect amphibians. Most of those people have gills and webbed feet.

We'll see if Governor Cock Sucker does the smart thing and gets rid of the mask mandates when it's up in early September.
