We bought 4 Dodges from here before. We have sold all since. Went to another Ram dealer. Even employees say they are a mess.

After my son’s recent experience with Ross Downing GMC in Gonzales, I find it very hard to believe there’s a shittier dealer service department in the entire world.
A company has to put a conscious effort into being so terrible, there’s no other way to explain it.

Agreed.

They’ve always had a reputation for being slow with communication. I took my truck there last year and it sat for three days before they even looked at it. You’re better off going to the shop in Gonzales.

Matt Bowers dealerships are shitty.
But it sounds like you went to a Temu knockoff.

I just bought a car from Sewell Cadillac in Houston and they were very pleasant. The perks of not being a poor.

Buying from Matt Bauers has the been the worst experience. Had multiple things wrong with my certified Pre owned truck that had a “bumper to bumper” 30 day warranty they tried to charge me thousands to repair.
Don’t ever buy from them.

This LSU fan will never give Matt Bowers a dime of my money

When we were looking for our Grand Cherokee L, we reached out to 15+ dealerships for their best out the door price across Louisiana, MS and TN and I told them I’d be signing paperwork in 2 days for the lowest. Spoke in detail on the phone to each and emailed post-convo. Matt Bowers CDJ was astronomically higher than all others including the 2nd highest, and I’m talking over $4k OTD more for exactly the same spec’d vehicle. Their salesman then blew up my phone twice a day for about 6 months.
Service wise, run. Dad had a ‘21 Ram that had a transmission fail under warranty. Brought it to Matt Bowers where it sat for 3 months, called Dad to say his truck was ready and the “new” transmission left him with all neutrals 3 days later just driving to work on Airline. Dad had it towed back and they said not their problem anymore come get it.
frick Matt Bowers, seriously. frick Stellantis as well though.

Matt Bower Service department lied to me stating my oil change and tire rotation was done.
I got there and immediately noticed the tire I marked vendor service was not moved. I chewed the TSA out and have never been back.
Doesn’t matter what brand. Anything with Matt Bower on it is sketchy AF

Caught them lying or me telling me they had to send parts back to GM to find out if it’s defective… My seat warmer kept going out. I also had the lifter issue GM had with the 5.3. They didn’t know what it was after driving the service tech around to listen to my issue. They told me they didn’t know what it was, and to bring it back if it continued. I was like continued? You think it’s going to fox itself?
I brought it to Banner Chevrolet, they diagnosed it, and had it fixed. They did have it for like 10 days, but they did give me a loaner…
Frick Matt Bower, I would never walk into any of his dealerships…

We’re supposed to be boycotting all Bower dealerships. There are plenty of other options. BTW, you can get warranty service at any Chevy dealership. It doesn’t have to be the one you bought it from.

So with the various mentions of who sucks, are there any decent dealers? I’ll be looking next year or 2.

I’ve always had good relations with Banner Chevrolet, it sucks because of it’s location, but really good people.

In BR, there are more bad dealers than good and god help you if you move in from out of state and try to get warranty work with Harris, Lane or No Star. They magically have a 6 to 8 week backlog.

My last vehicle was from Best Chevrolet in Metairie. I had been looking at Jeeps online during the previous year, but not quite sold on one, and a RAV4 popped up. Being mostly a Toyota owner anyway, I decided to go take a look and bought it. High volume dealer, good price, and no issues. It’s old now so will be looking at 4Runner, Passport and Pallisade next year. Have also purchased from Lakeside Toyota with no issues.
